Meet the Team
Dr. Paul Kelly MVB
Dr. Paul Kelly MBV
Owner and founder of Kelly Veterinary Hospital, Paul graduated from UCD in 1989 as a veterinary surgeon. Since then Paul has worked in many areas of veterinary practice including large animal, equine, small animal and exotic animal veterinary medicine.
Paul was a partner in an Equine / small animal practice in Ratoath, Co. Meath. It was in this practice that he developed a keen interest in companion animal medicine and surgery. In 2008 Paul left the partnership to develop a Specialist Small Animal Practice in Ratoath in 2011.
Paul has been dedicated to furthering his education and finding the best ways to minimise surgical trauma for all animals under his care. Paul has studied rootcanal procedures allowing teeth to be saved, making him one of the very few vets in the country to be able to provide this service. In 2007 Paul studied laparoscopic surgery to preform keyhole neutering in dogs, another less surgically traumatic service provided by very few vets in Ireland.
Paul has also aquired a masters in Orthopaedics and Traumatology, at the Universidad Complutense Madrid, Spain in 2018. This Masters has taught him every aspect of orthopaedic surgery.
